Myopia is a vision error condition commonly known as: Nearsightedness. Nearsightedness occurs when light from a distant object comes to a focus in front of the Retina, causing distant objects to be blurry and nearby objects to be clear.

Symptoms include blurry vision, headaches and eye fatigue. However, Myopia can be treated with a variety of options at Magrabi Hospitals. From contact lenses to lasik surgery, Magrabi Hospitals will take care of your Nearsightedness forever.
Hyperopia is a condition commonly known as: Farsightedness. Farsightedness happens when light from a distant object comes to a focus behind the Retina, causing nearby objects to become out of focus. The Hyperopic patient suffers from constant difficulty in the vision of near objects.

The most common complaint of people who suffer from Hyperopia is that their eyes become fatigued while reading, writing or sewing. Farsightedness patients can also complain from aching eyes, headaches and frequent eye rubbing.

Treatments for Hyperopia can range from no treatment if the condition is mild, to eyeglasses or contact lenses in more severe cases, as well as the option for lasik surgery, which completely eradicates the issue.
A common refractive vision error, Astigmatism is the focus of the light rays entering the eye on multiple focal points, neither of which is on the Retina, which is needed for correct and healthy vision. This condition is caused by a distortion in the shape of the cornea receiving the light rays.

Astigmatism causes blurred vision, which if left untreated can proceed to increase and decrease vision along with it. There are multiple treatment options for Astigmatism at Magrabi Hospitals including contact lenses prescription, lasik surgery and more.
Presbyopia is a vision error condition caused primarily by the weakening of the eye muscles due to ageing. Presbyopia patients suffer from poor vision while reading. This is because the eye’s accommodation process (the eye’s ability to change focus from distant to near objects) is obstructed by the negative ageing factors.

This condition is easily managed by wearing reading glasses or bifocal lenses. Contact lenses are also a more cosmetically pleasing option for Presbyopia patients. These solutions are available at all Magrabi Hospitals branches.
