In order for clear vision to occur, the light rays entering the eye must focus on a singular distinct point on the Retina. When this process fails, the patient’s vision is negatively effected and treatment is essential.

The doctor will begin by assessing the condition of the eye and its scope of vision. Then, they measure the disturbance and give an accurate diagnosis. Based on the previous step, a treatment is chosen to restore the patient’s vision back to its healthy state.
Vision errors are most commonly Refractive. Meaning the patient with unclear vision is most likely suffering from Farsightedness, Nearsightedness or Astigmatism. These conditions can be treated through contact lenses, glasses or Refractive surgery.

Lasik surgery is a procedure that corrects Refractive vision errors through altering the shape of the Cornea. Lasik is an option that eliminates the patient’s need for contact lenses or glasses. After a series of tests and detailed medical history check ups, the patient is deemed fit or unfit for this kind of surgery.

Every patient is different, thus every patient’s healing will also be different. That’s why some patients may experience an improvement in vision right away, while others may take weeks. Some patients will also deem their results non-satisfactory and will have enhancement procedures for better results.
